How to improve your sentence formation
How to improve your
sentence formation
Hey everyone, I hope you guys doing enough practice of
English speaking. So today, I have brought an exciting topic to discuss.
When we are in the learning phase, we generally face difficulty in sentence
formation. It has its own rule via tenses, but there is another easier way of
improving sentence formation.
Start reading books of interest
Start reading books of interest
Book reading is one of the best ways to improve your
sentence formation skills. But we need to make sure one thing that we need to
read it aloud. Now the question raises which book is best to read, and the
answer is you should select books of your choice. If you still find it
difficult, the best option is reading comic books. Because it has big interesting
pictures on it, which will not let you get bore. This will also help you to
develop reading habits. Once you are done with comic books, next is Mystery novels.
Yes, you heard me right. Mystery novels are something that is really going to
grab your attention until you finish it. And to make this practice better, try
to choose small novels, not the bigger one.
Always keep a diary
We must have always heard that most people love
writing a diary daily. They love to express their feelings by writing
down on pages. This habit of writing also helps us in the improvement of
sentence formation. To make this practice more interesting, your dairy should have
some motivating caption on it. After reading books, always keep a pencil with
you and marks your favorite lines on it; also note them down in your diary. Try
to note down not more than 5 to 10 lines a day. Because you have to learn those
lines by heart and start using them in your speaking. When you are done with those
lines, find another 5 to 10 line and write them again in your dairy. This is
really going to add so much vocabulary to your mind bank.
Avoid studying tenses too much
Tenses are important for sentence formation. But when we
study them a lot, we find difficulty in memorizing them. And trust me, when we
interact with other people in English, we fumble when we translate them into our
minds. Tenses are important only at the initial level. To practice them,
you can write 10 different lines and translate them into English using tense
rules daily. But when you want to speak properly, you will have to
start thinking of your mind. That time only book reading will help you in
sentence formation. Because of all those lines that you have read in books, you can
use them as it is while speaking. This way, you don’t have to translate them in
your mind.
Great tips!
